SkinFood BB Creams each come in two available shades. As with most BB creams, it isn’t necessary to get an exact match. The creams tend to be sheer tint that absorbs and blends so well that color matching is not needed. While many will say they can substitute for foundation, unless you have rather nice skin to begin with, you will probably still want to add foundation or powder. But Skinfood actually has a bit more tint in some of their products than other brands. Like most BB creams and blemish balms, Skin79’s products are lightly tinted. However, also like most of these products, the tint blends in well to match a wide range of skin shades, especially for anyone with medium or lighter skin. Thus, there is no need to get too particularly worried about shade matching.

Here is my arm after blending. As you can see, it all absorbs in. Skin looks more even, but not covered or “made up.”  I usually apply foundation over my BB cream.  The pearl did indeed leave a nicely luminous glow behind, although it doesn’t show as well as I would like in the photo. It is truly a lovely illuminating cream.

About Etude House BB Cream

Etude House is a South Korean cosmetics company that focuses on affordable makeup and skin care. Long sought after, but hard to find, it is now available worldwide through several preferred sellers. These companies are also great sources for hard to find Asian cosmetics and fashion. All retailers have been tested through test purchases and have provided quality products and customer service  Below are the available Etude House BB Creams, with information about each type, followed by reviews and more about Etude House products. The primary Etude House BB cream is Etude House BB Magic Cream, which provides basic blemish treatment  and skin priming. It provides some general illumination and coverage with a light tint. The product may appear whitish when first applied, but this is quickly absorbed and the light tint remains. Coverage is medium and the cream gives a bit of a dewy look, although it can be mattified with powder. Our testers had no issues using the cream on acne prone skin, but because of the dewy nature, people with drier skin might prefer it. As with most BB creams, it is lightly tinted.
